Can I get this permanent dye out of my hair?

The last time I had my hair cut, my stylist suggested a partial foil, or highlights. I liked them over the summer but after having them done twice, they're a pain, and I really like my natural hair. Is there any way to get this dye out or do I have to wait until it grows out?? Maybe if you know how to make it fade.... remember it's permanent (blonde and my natural color is dirty blonde).

Highlights remove color to lighten the hair and add a tone after lightening. If you get a semi-permanent color from the store that is close to your natural color (Natural Instincts) you should be able to take care of the highlights. I have done this before. You might still have ends slightly lighter but it should still look natural.

ok well i got highlights and i thought that they would be great and you know what...they are a pain! i am in the same boat as you are and the sad part about it is i got my highlights done in the beginning of 7th grade and i am a freshman now and they are like half way faded and the look so stupid! i mean i wish that i had never gotten them done because i love my natural hair color and i am always at baseball games so my highlights get lighter by the day so the only thing that i would recommend is to stay out of the sun or you'll end up like me and i don't think that you can change your hair color back unless you get your hair striped of its color. i think there is a treatment that strips your hair of unnatural color so you might have to look into that and do some research. hope i helped!

Just color it to meet your closest natural color. Get a dirty blonde hair dye. Stay away from ash though it will turn your hair green. NO Kidding other than I would say shave it. or you could bleach out your hair color or just let it grow out. those are basically your options.

When I colored my hair using a box dye (premanent color), it came out the complete wrong color and i looked like a clown, lmao. I called the help line on the back of the box and they told me to wash my hair several times with Head and Shoulders Shampoo, and to keep using it. It helps to take some of the color out, not all of it cuz after all it is permanent color, but it does help. And if nothing else, make it less noticable.

ok so when you get your hair highlighted, what the process is actually doing is taking the color out of your hair, meaning it wont just come back one day. You have three options:

1. Leave it in

2. Cut all the highlights out....not a good idea unless you want to cut all your hair really short

3. Color over it.

Personally i would cut it out if you want to keep your hair the same color. better a few months of short hair then years of bad hair dying experiences(your hair may start to fall out if you dye it to much) and who knows maybe you'll find a new hairstyle you like in the process. =D GOOD LUCK!
