I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

My wife just got her hair cut by a stylist and she paid 60 dollars, then she tipped her 10. Its been a week and she is unhappy with her hair. She called and they will re-cut it at no charge. They said it's included in the price. Does she have to re-tip her? If so, how much.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

I think it would be kind of polite. Maybe another ten dollar tip just for good measure.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

Thanks, uhm.. paying thirteen dollars for a haircut? That's probably what the proffessional scissors cost. SHH. Report It

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

I don't think you should tip her! She gets enough money.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

No, I don't think your wife should have to tip her again. She tipped the stylist the first time. If the stylist is going to fix it to your wife's satisfaction, no tip necessary.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

No, she doesn't have to re tip her! They should give a full refund including the tip if the cut can't be fixed------------and I can't believe anyone would pay $60.00 for a haircut! We only charged $13.00 for a haircut. You could get a perm or color and a haircut plus a style for $60.00!

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

although i dont think another tip is needed, however if your wife wants to she could tip a lesser amount. Maybe 5 dollars? but to be honest the lady is just fixing the misstake she made in the first place and if the hair stylest would have done the cut right the first time then there would be no need to return to have it fixed!

TO THE GIRL ABOVE ME ^^^^^^^^

13 dollar hair cuts usually are the ones you STAY CLEAR OF. i paid over 150 for a trim and color. you get what you pay for ( however in this case maybe the lady was new or just having an off day)

lol 13 dollar hair cuts..thats funny. My boyfriends haircuts cost more than that.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

I do think she should re-tip her especially if she is getting cut, wash, and styled. I do not think she/he should tip more than 15% the second time around. I would recommend 5-10%.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

NO absolutly not! In fact she should not have tipped in the first place if she was not satisfied with her cut.

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

I was in the same situation not too long ago. When I went back for the second cut I did tip the stylist because I was very satsfied with the result. Remeber, tips are just that, a bonus given to the stylist when a customer is happy with the result, it's no different than tipping at a resturant. If you're not happy, don't tip....if you are, go for it

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

depends you only tip if your happy with the style she shouldn't have tipped the first women but if she likes it the second time then yeah but not as much you give a couple dollars

I have a question about tipping a hair stylist?

ur not supposed to even tip unless u got a money tree in ur back yard

What can I ask my hair stylist to do to make my hair shinier? Isn't there some sort of gloss?

I'm going to get my hair cut and colored on friday. But, I've noticed lately that my hair has lost it's lustre, really. It used to be so glossy and shiny and now it's not really like that. Is there something I can tell my stylist to do to fix this? Isn't there some sort of gloss that can be mixed in with your hair color that will help this? thank you for your help! I really appreciate it! :)

What can I ask my hair stylist to do to make my hair shinier? Isn't there some sort of gloss?

Ask hairdresser.

New hair cut? Any ideas? Thanks!?

I have straight blonde hair, about 2 inches below my shoulders. I have pretty much no layers, but some slight layering and angling in the front with side bangs that aren't very "bangy" anymore (they've grown out). I'm thinking of getting my haircut soon, but I'm not sure what to do. I've tried a few lengths but I've never really found anything that I particulary like the most, but I am definetly open to any and all suggestions you may have. I don't want to take that much off, I just want a cut that provides me with more body and thickness looking then I have now.

My previous hair stylist didn't recommend layers, because my hair is fairly thin. She said she was afraid it would look too choppy and "stringy". Just to let you know, right now my hair is healthy and not stringy by any means, just a healthy thinness. Thank you for your help, it's greatly appreciated!

New hair cut? Any ideas? Thanks!?

I would tell her to give you layers, and side swept bangs, with your hair tappered to your face. Even if you did have thin hair, it shouldn't matter. If you treat your hair right, your layers will look fabulous. If you do get the hair cut I mentioned, just blow dry your hair upside down, and it will give you plenty of volume.

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

My toddler will be 3yrs. in Aug. And he still kicks and screams when we try to cut his hair. Sometimes the stylist won't cut it because he won't stay still. What are some ways to help him understand that nothing will happen and so he can peacfully get a hair cut?

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

My son is the same way. I actually have to sit in the barber chair and he sits on my lap and I hold him. He doesn't like being held, but he can't be thrashing around when a hairdresser has scissors.

To keep him from really acting up, you have to distract him from what's going on. Important for you to do this BEFORE he gets upset. Maybe he has a favorite food or toy he can be playing with while in the chair, something he doesn't normally get, like your keys, or some food treat of some kind.

It also helps to be talking to him about something he likes to do, the more distractions you have the better the experience will be.

Good luck!

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

TELL him going to get ice cream after his hair cut

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

My one year old is often afraid of the noise that certain machines make. Like a blender or the humming of the hair cutting machine. I sat him on my lap while the barber cut his hair and at first he cried, but later on he felt secured and we haven't had any problems getting his hair cut.

I think you should also check to see if the hair stylist presses too hard on his head with the machine. If this is the case, talking to the stylist in front of your toddler may be a good idea.

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

Do you have a kids cuts, cuts 4kids, or similar place in your area? We take our 2 year old to one. they have ride on toys, airplanes that vibrate, etc. that kids can sit on, nintendos to play with and several TVs with barney, doodlebops, etc. to watch. It really is worth the extra cost, around $25-30, depending on the place.

How to give my toddler a hair cut who won't let you cut it?

I was a nanny for 4 kids. The mom was a single mom, so she can't afford to take the kids somewhere to get their hair cut. So, she has a friend of the family do it. Her 3 year old has autism. He is horrible when it comes to getting his haircut! With her other 3, she could distract them with M %26amp; Ms (the only time they got them). With him, tho, she had to hold him down while the friend cut his hair. This shouldn't have to be done with all 3 year olds, tho. I agree that you need to distract him with a favorite food, snack, etc, possibly have him sit on your lap while his hair is being cut, and maybe take him to a place that is especially for kids to get their haircut. From what Ihave seen/heard, these places are very experienced with kids that don't like to have their haircut, so they know what to do and how to handle them.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

After budgeting for a few months to get my hair done, I went in Saturday. I wanted a hair cut and all over color process. I like getting my hair colored a little dramatic "different" I don't mean with crazy colors. Just your typical browns and blondes. I wanted my underneath to be darker the top to be lighter. You know the popular thing right now. My stylist recommended that we do 3 different shades of brown, with some carmel highlights on top. The colors she showed me really did look different. I trusted her advice. With the cut it would $176. No problem because it was going to be a change for me. My cut turned out horrible, my longer layers I wanted is now one long length underneath and a short curl under top layer. It looks terrible. I can't do a thing with it but pin the top back. My color that took 3 hours, looks no different then the color I walked in with, that I didn't like, because it was brassy and uneven. It's even more brassy. So what would you do if you were me?

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

Go to the salon and tell them to either give you your money back or have someone who knows what they are doing fix your hair free of charge.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

Go back and demand a refund, or a redo!

176 bucks is a lot of money!

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

I would go to the manager of the salon and complain. They will try to fix the problem before giving you any money back. Make sure you complain. Noone deserves to have that happen.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

go back and speak to the owner. Do it nicely %26amp; reasonably. This way they will be persuaded more to help you.

Let them know that it really wasn't what you wanted and you would like some chages made at no cost. Speak in even tones...

Just don't blow up. If they say no. Tell them that you will report them to the BBB %26amp; that you will tell all of your friends %26amp; neighbors not to go there...

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

You really need to go back and tell the stylist that you are unhappy and you would like your money back or for her to fix it. If she will not I would speak to the salon owner.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

Thats Happened to me before, I complained, the girl got fired, and the manager ended up fixing my hair the way I wanted it and gave me a refund and free products. This was at Gottschalks in California.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

contact the salon owner and ask to have another stylist re-do your hair. I've had that before and that's what I did.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

last year, i got highlights and they were HORRIBLE! so i called the salon and they fixed it for no charge. you just need to ask to speak with someone in charge and not your stylist b/c they will be more likely to help you.....and they want to keep your business :)

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

You should have told the stylist immediately that you were not happy with the cut and color. If this is somewhere that you usually go for your haircuts, I'd call the owner of the salon if your stylist won't contact you. The owner should definitely want to make it right. However, you still may be stuck with it. Hair grows. It's may be an expensive lesson, but one that you'll handle differently in the future.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

call and complain or go back there....they should fix it.....you shouldent pay that much money for somehing you dont love!! im going to cosmetology school and this women can in her family had sent her to get a make over....she wanted a hair cut and a perm....so i cut first and took about 4 inches off and put some layers in and then gave her the perm....when she walked out i thought she liked it...she came back a week later and booked her self with me...when she got in my chair she exprssed how she didient think there was enough layers and it wasent a big enough change so i recut her and i talked to the people at the front desk and it was free of charge for her....we get people that arnt happy and all you have to do is tell them and theyll fix it, thats there job

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

my bestfriend just had a similar experience I'm a lot mouthier than she. I told my friend to demand the lady fix her hair. I also told her that she should pay no more than $40-$50 for the repair work, because no one is going to work for free no matter how big a mistake they made the first time. My friend is quiet and she doesn't demand things from people but like you she paid nearly $200 for an awful job. So she had it out with the lady, but long story short she has a beautiful style, it however didn't come without a fight. I always say, closed mouths don't get fed. So speak up and have your say. The worse she could do is refuse, then you just know never to go to her again. Hairstylist don't like to make enemies because they know that women gossip and if word gets out that she sucks she could lose a lot of money

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

I definitely think you should go back to the salon and in a polite manner tell her that it is not what you expected and you would like her to change it. I also recommend you take a picture from a magazine or something to show her what you were expecting. Pictures are really helpful. Try to get it done for free or extremely discounted. Good luck.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

march over to that salon and demand a refund. Or have her re-do the color for free. If not, beat her face in. i would.

Terrible results from a hair stylist what would you do?

This is why it is so hard to find a stylist that can deliver what it is you desire. Although our hair will "grow out" its our self image and self esteem. It is more than just "hair," you took a risk and gave your trust to the professional to deliver your needs and $176 is not pocket change, that's a lot of money. You made an effort to email her and

she showed no professionalism. You should call in and ask to meet with the owner, so you can go in and receive her consultation for a new hair color and style. I suggest that you go to www.ebeautyzone.com and find a stylist that fits your character and personality.

How to request Nicole Scherzinger's hair cut?

I love Nicole Scherzinger from Pussy Cat Dolls' hair style and love to get the similar hair cut! How should I describe her hair style so my hair stylist would know? I've been looking for a good picture of her to show to the hair stylist but haven't been able to find a good one. Thank you!

How to request Nicole Scherzinger's hair cut?

Get a picture of her from a magazine or off the net ... and try to get several pictures from different angles (front, sides, and back) to take to your hairdresser. Even if you can't find THE PERFECT pic .. take several so that she can get the idea anyway.

Try that one.

How to request Nicole Scherzinger's hair cut?

I don't see how you wouldn't be able to find a good picture of her.

Google her and you get tons of images.

I guess describing it, straight black hair, below shoulders?

Best advice would be to keep looking for a picture. It's really hard for a hair stylist to give you the most accurate cut you're looking for just from words.

How to request Nicole Scherzinger's hair cut?

the best thing to do it bring a picture of her in. but even that doesnt work sometimes. so just say "keep it long, i dont want much cut off at all, i still want it real long, but can i just have some long layers?" and f u want the bangs she has in the new video, just say "and i want bangs that go to my eyelashes not to thick not to thin, so that i dont need to roll curl them" if u have a round square or heart shape face, skip the bangs, i made that mistake once, trust me when i say you'll look like a coconut head.

How to request Nicole Scherzinger's hair cut?

you could go to google images and type in her name and it should give you a nice picture.

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

One of my closest friends opened a salon and has been doing my hair for a couple of years and she is great at it. A different friend went into the city for a hair do and is absolutly raving about it. I would like to go and try but i dont want to hurt my friend. she will know because I see her all the time and she has been the only one cutting my hair for years. Do I go? or should i stick with the same old do?

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

It is your hair and you have a right to experiment with it. I've gotten my hair done on a whim and my stylist just had to deal with it. Right now, I've been going to one person for color and another for the cut for years. I really like the woman who does the color, and she really wants to cut my hair, but she has done so several times and I have never liked it. The other person did a great job on the cut, but I was getting a little tired of it, and she liked my hair so much one way that it never seemed to change. She recently opened her own salon, and before I learned that this is why she wasn't at her old place, I had her former assistant do my hair, because I had seen him do someone else's hair that I really liked. He did a great job and charged about half what the other woman did, so I think that I'm switching again.

I've made awkward changes before (once the guy, who probably had a drug problem, stopped bathing and smelled worse and worse, and once the person was so distracted by personal problems and forgot to rinse the color out of my hair, so that when I went to the gym later on that day, my shirt turned orange!), but while they may be disappointed, they get over it.

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

Go to someone different. Your friend shouldn't care. You can't have the same hair forever, that's boring. And if they get mad, tell them to kiss your ***.

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

ohh thats a hard one

i would stay stick with you old friend but just do w.e you want its your life live it :)

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

go you are allowed to try new things

if she says anything just tell her you promised another friend you would get your hair done at least 1 time at this other place.

i'm sure she will understand.

How bad would it be if I went to a different stylist to get my hair cut?

In this case,it is not a matter of choice. These are your two close friends in thesame business.I suppose that if they are your good friends, they should understand your situation and allow you reach out to both of them at intervals so you can be happy.Moreso, the only thing that is constant in life is change;if you do not try the other friend, you may not take a firm position about who actually mkes you a more fitting hairstyle.Your satisfaction and hapinness is what matters. You want both friends to be happy with you,you talk to them and let them understand your situation so all will still remain friends.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

As a guy, I've noticed that if I get my hair trimmed (mine is longish) in a regular guys barbershop or even a salon that caters more to equal numbers of guys/girls, then they just use a comb and scissors to cut my hair. But if I go to a salon that is unisex but maybe caters more to women (fewer guys) or is more trendy, then they use these big plastic clip type things or silver metal clips to keep hair out of the way while they cut it.

Why the difference? Does using the clip things mean I am getting a better cut or not, or does it mean the stylists isn't as good. I guess they just keep hair out of the way while they cut it, but shouldn't they be used all the time as common practice if they are needed, or not bothered with if they aren't.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

It depends on how the barber/beautician is taught and the method that works best for them. My sister used to be a hairdresser, and she's the only person I would ever trust to touch my hair, and she was taught to use the metal clips (they have a technical name but it escapes me now what it is) and that's what worked best for her. Most hairdressers I have seen in the unisex salons and beauty schools use the clips. At the same time, those same people can't give a decent haircut to save their lives, so the clips don't have anything to do with the quality of the cut. It's all about the skill of the hairdresser and their willingness to listen to what you want and go from there. A large number of hairdressers out there actually don't care about the job itself, which is one of the reasons why people recieve bad cuts (or whatever else they went in for) and service. They're only in it because it's "easy money" and anyone can go to school to learn it.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

They're called " h a i r c l i p s ". Doesn't mean it's a better or worse cut. It's the skill of the beautician or barber that matters.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

Some people find it easier to cut small sections at a time opposed to all at once. I think it just depends on their training.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

depends on were they were taught oldschool dont use those but now we no it works better if you use them

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

It's just a stylist choice thing. It doesn't mean you're getting a better cut.

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

When I was still in England they used to use clips like that all the time. Over here in the US, they seem to use them less. Also, one girl asked me if I minded or not if she used them. I said no problem and she seemed relieved lol. I got the impression some guys don't like them being used, like it threatens their macho-ness.

Ash'

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

Do you mean sectioning clips? Are guys really that bothered by things like that? LOL, glad I am a girl!!!

Those clips things hair stylist use when cutting hair?

there really is a big difference between a barber over a stylist. barbers specialize in hair. period. stylist are hair skin and nails. they are typically more organized. they do jus give you more control over the hair. in barber school they are not trained to use them . that's all.

Why do hair stylists cut hair when its wet?

well the hair dressers wash your hair for you because its courtesy so when they cut it then they can blow dry it for you and have your hair look beautiful. by wetting the hair before hand it make it easier.

Why do hair stylists cut hair when its wet?

Its easier, think about it. If one has dry hair, its prone to fly aways and fuss. Wet hair is much easier to handle.

However, there is a hairdresser who does whats known as a 'diamond cut'. Its very pricey, but he does it on dry hair which some seem to favor. It makes sense, as how you cut dry hair, that's how it will look whens it dry. With wet hair, its going to look slightly, if not more, different when its dry.

Why do hair stylists cut hair when its wet?

because if u want a perfect haircut then the cut should be perfect in which the hair ends should be accurate according to the haircut preferred. so, some people might have curls, wavy hair so its actual length is not known so if the hair is wet it will be straight and the correct length of hair will be known.

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japane

Because I live in canada, and I want a cool short korean hair style. I've been going to a chinese/korean hair salon all my life, but now I'm thinking of going to a regular non-asian salon.

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

not unless they're familiar with the style. So probably not

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

What next - start eating fried rice and eat'n egg-rolls?

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

it depends but I haven't seen one yet.

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

I don't think so. I went and asked for it and they had no idea when to Koreans that's a very well known hairstyle.

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

Korean/Japanese/ Chinese hair is very strong and requires real precision cutting. Hairstylists who mainly work with Caucasian hair find Asian hair a challenge, so unless you want to take a risk, i'd stick to what you know when it comes to hair.

Not a raicist intended question, but do Canadian/cocasian hair stylist know how to cut Korean/Japanese styles?

Best thing to do is bring a picture in with you. Print it off the internet, the more detailed the better. Then ask if its something that they can do before getting your hair cut there.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

I'm getting my hair trimmed before school starts and I want to cut as little as possible because I would like to keep my length. When you ask your hair stylist to cut one inch, does he/she usually cut two?

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

Unfortunalty some do. Before they start to cut make them show you what they think is an inch compared to your inch. You could also show them where you want your hair to be (like on your sholders or a place on your back) before they start. I'll be the first to admit that my inch and someone else's are two different things! Remember though if you don't get what you want, don't pay! Also make sure that they repeat what you want before they start and if you are not comfortable with that stylist, leave. If you don't trust them then don't do it.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

no just say "ONE INCH AND NO MORE!" and they will get that if they cut more u will be mad!

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

Many times they cut a little extra 1/2-1 inch or it just appears that way after they style it.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

YES whenever i get my bangs cut she always seems to do more and all my friends (who go to different places agree)

- also when your hair is wet dont forget when it drys it will become considerably shorter. so always say alittle longer.you can always take more off if you really need to

:]

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

YES!! even if i show a stylist where i want it cut to, they do more. so, be realllllllly loud and obnoxious about where you want your hair cut to, show the length, and explain that you DO NOT want to lose your length, not even an inch, just a half an inch!!! say "no more than half an inch"! that is really small and will definitely help to keep your hair healthy. good luck, and once again, be oboxious and physically show them where you want your hair cut to. haha.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

you need to show them exactly how long/short you want your hair. put your hand up to show them how short you want it.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

MY GIRLFRIEND SAID THAT YES THEY DO. ALWAYS

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

bad ones that don't care about your opinion

my stylist always asks me about it before she cuts it

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

An inch to you is different than an inch to somebody else. Tell your stylist that you want to keep your length.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

yup.. they surely do.. I've experience it before i ask the stylist to cut just an inch to my surprise he cut about 4 inches... Ask the stylist first if he/she knows how to measure in inches..lolz

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

I asked for a trim and he hacked 4 inches!

My usual hair stylist wasnt available the day i wanted to cut my hair soo i decided i'd get it cut by who ever was, when sat on the chair I told him again that all i wanted was a trim he said ok, he started from the back and when he got to the front i noticed my hair was right below my shoulders I FREAKED! and left with out payin because that wansnt what i asked for! never again will I cut my hair BY JUST ANY1! only get your hair done by some 1 you know and trust and has done your hair befor.

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

Ugh yes, well for me anyway. I hate it when they do that too, especially riiiight before school starts up. Once the lady cut off like two inches more than i wanted when i already had short hair and i had to go to school looking....well really funny. So just tell them what you want and make yourself CLEAR. Good luck! =]

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

maybe u could find a friend to just trim it my experience with hair stylist is tht u tell them only to cut a little but i think tht because of their training that means they , try to get all the split ends and tht usually causes u to walk out the store with 3 inches or 4 off instead of wht u wanted , my girlfriends , and my daughter trim my hair , and they no what i want ....

Do hair stylists usually cut more than asked?

As being a hair stylists i can honestly say it all depends on who you go to . Some people do cut more off, . Personal I don't I always leave a quarter of an in left of what they really want off and I can gladly cay everyone I work with does the same. Make sure you know what an inch is ,I just have to stand up for my profession as a hair stylist , most people don't know what a inch is. most people like a inch is little to nothing, when in real life a inch is quit a bit more see the differnce . a inch to the common world is completly differnt in the Hair world , you need to show them what you want tell them make your point know. make sure they are on the same page , if someon take 25 min to trim your hair , you need to get out of the chair . it is also your resonsibleity to tell us what you want . do it.

I got my hair cut and the stylist messed up.?

I asked for side bangs and she gave me bangs... whenever i put my bangs to the side... they look too short and choppy... what are some cute hairstyles i can do??

I got my hair cut and the stylist messed up.?

Clip your bangs back into a little poof until they grow out.. It's a cute style and very trendy right now! Hope this helps :)

If you want side bangs just get a hair mud and sweep it through your bangs. Then just pull your bangs to the side. Ta-da, side bangs! Same thing happened to me. You can also clip a bobby pin to the bangs to keep them from sliding back to your face.

I got my hair cut and the stylist messed up.?

clip ur bangs back utill they r long enough

I got my hair cut and the stylist messed up.?

Well no offense but you should have told the stylist she would have fixed them because that's what she did to me. Anyways if it doesnt look good to the side then just let it fall normally, try seperating the bangs by using glitter gel or gel it looks really cute, and when it grows out then just push them to the side.

I got my hair cut and the stylist messed up.?

that happened to me actually just a week ago. if you have a flat iron for you hair you could try flipping it to the side or you could try blow drying it to the side you want it on too. also i have been pinning it bback on top of my head with clips until it get longer..its really trendy right now so its ok! hope this helped!

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

I have long hair (goes to about mid back), it's kinda thick, cury/wavy, and gets frizzy knid of easily. I also have a square/heart shaped face, a large forehead, a wide jaw, and a square/pointy chin.

What is the best hair cut for me or does anyone know any good websites to find out?

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

You have two issues that I see can cause a problem. Frizzy hair doesn't do well with layers, unless you straighten it with an iron. Square face and angles that need hiding...only layering it will work.

You might want to go to a salon that does the pics with styles so you can see what you will look like before you do it.

I have cut hair like yours on a face like yours (lol) and it has worked fine. The person just needs to do more haircare maintenance than before. If you have the time to maintain the look then by all means get it layered and angled around your points on your face ...to hide the squareness of your face. Get angled bangs to offset the same thing. You should have it on the long side of bangs and angled around your face.

Try using products that help with the frizzes like Sleek looks by Matrix. Get the whole system...it's great. I have frizzy hair and I love this stuff.

Good luck and God bless.

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

try getting it layered and angled

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

keep it long and if you layer it make sure they are long layers. you can try layers around your face...having the shortest layer alittle past your chin. for frizz control try using a leave in conditioner and biosilk serum...

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

Better ask the hair stylists or read some magazines

A hair cut question...preferably a stylist?

You sound like me! I'm no expert, so search around and you'll find the one for u. just watch out with the high ponytail, if its humid, FRIZZ ATACCK!

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

I'm a hair stylist and I think so. Most people come in our salon just to cut and then curl their hair. Then we charge them $75! Thats way way too much money.

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

I think so also! They cost you a fortune these days. I used to go to a salon and then tell them to cut my hair up to my shoulders and then perm it. They did a pretty good job but it cost 63 dollars!!! I don't spend that much money anymore. I have 3 younger sisters and so they love doing my hair. So they do it.

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

hell yeah, especially in a high price spa or rich town, but i guess you pay for a well done job ,some of those places like supercuts suck and do a shitty job so i guess its worth it to pay more

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

I think so too...but not every place is that way. You must work in a place where people make a lot of money...therefore are more willing to spent it. What can you do though....buisiness is buisineess...and if your demand is still high.....they will keep on charging a high price. I personally do not think it is worth it.....but I suppose people feel good thiking that since they paid so much...it must be better than others....though you know this is not necessarily true. If you feel bad or guilty....try going somewhere else. Make your own studio...charge your own prices. Make your own name. Good luck and live life the best way you know how.

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

that is way too much money. cut them some slack.

Do you think that hair stylist charge people too much money for just a cut and curl?

Extremely too much. Everybody charges different prices so it's always best to ask around before getting the job done. I went from stylist to stylist until I finally found a good one and at a decent price

Help! I got a bad haircut, my hair got completely cut off! Where can i find hair alternatives?

MAYBE HAIR PIECES OR EXTENSIONS? I HAD LONG , STRAIGHT ,FULL HAIR, AND SOME HAIR STYLIST CUT IT TO MY NECK! NIGHTMARE COME TRUE, I CANT STOP CRYING!!!!

Help! I got a bad haircut, my hair got completely cut off! Where can i find hair alternatives?

Why don't u try hair extentions, the best ones are very expensive but its worth it, why don't you look around your area to find a good salon that do hair extentions

Help! I got a bad haircut, my hair got completely cut off! Where can i find hair alternatives?

Ask a professional stylist about hair fusion. Its a new technique that allows you to have natural looking extensions.

Help! I got a bad haircut, my hair got completely cut off! Where can i find hair alternatives?

BEEN THERE, DONE THAT! JUST TRY TO FIX IT ANYWAY! IT WILL GROW BACK! THAT IS WHAT I HAD TO DO AFTER THE SECOND HAIR CUT TO FIX THE FIRST ONE~!

Anyone know a good, and experienced, hair stylist and/or aesthetician in the Harrisburg, PA area???

I just moved to the area, and I'd really like to avoid getting ridiculous hair cuts for the next few months, lol... So if anyone knows of a great salon and a really good stylist (for cuts and color) I would love to hear about them! And if your recommendations are for places that charge $45 or less per cut, and $70 or less for color, that would be even better...

I'm also looking for a good aesthetician, who does bikini waxing and leg waxing...

And someone who threads eyebrows...

I know its a lot, but like I said, I just moved to the area, so any suggestions are much appreciated!!

Anyone know a good, and experienced, hair stylist and/or aesthetician in the Harrisburg, PA area???

Hmm, this is really a good question especially from someone who just moved to the area. I'm not from Harrisburg, but I've been there before, so I may not give you from the back of my head, but....

You could give SuperCuts a ring and find out the costs.

Getting my hair cut help!!--Style names?

Can anyone please help me find a clear photo of Romy White (mira sarvino) in the movie Romy's and Michelle's highschool reunion that you can clearly see romy's hair and how it's layered--I would like my hair cut like that and can you please tell me what that is called--is it just called short and layered or is there another name for it to tell the hair stylist who cuts my hair? Thanks

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

as I have had my haor the same forever....I doubt I would look could with short hair ...but do you think it would look ikay to place Highlights in it ?

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/7577/...

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

i think you would look great!

also if it doesnt work out its just hair it grows back

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

Let him/her try it you may be suprised

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

You can always let it grow again and can always color it back. You won't know unless you try :) Go for it! Change is good!

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

a lil highlights I wouldnt go overload.

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

If you had the same hair for more than two years... yes, by all means let her give you a new, fresh look. Your friend can do a demi (semi-permanent) color if you are going about the same color or darker. Highlights will be a little more permanent, but if you don't like them in a few weeks she can darken them. Go for something chin length. You've got a great jawline show it off and it's easier to care for.

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

A change might surprise you. Just let your friend do what they need to do. and if you don't like it you can dye it back and the hair in time will grow back as well.

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

well..... maybe a little highlights on the sides and you would look great!! and hair? like shoulder lengh hair

Okay my friend is a hair stylist and wants me to cut my hair and dye it ...not sure?

yeah

but dont go with blonde highlights or else it will look to fake

but a honey brown would look nice

Any ideas on what to do with my hair, a new stylist cut it so short I can barely curl it with an iro

I had a perm and trim, , she cut it so short , yuk, I didn't know what to say, I know it will grow back but any ideas

I am middle age, and I think it makes me look older. am I too old for using that stuff to make it look a little spiky in the back, oh my I dont want to leave my house... help please.

Any ideas on what to do with my hair, a new stylist cut it so short I can barely curl it with an iron.?

Smooth it out with a round brush . It will look longer. Then take a curling iron to it just to curl it a bit.

Any ideas on what to do with my hair, a new stylist cut it so short I can barely curl it with an iron.?

Do you have a small curling iron. I think it is a 1/2 inch iron. You should be able to curl your hair with 1 that small

Any ideas on what to do with my hair, a new stylist cut it so short I can barely curl it with an iron.?

No you are not that old to use gel in your hair to make spikes. It probably makes you look younger the short haircut.

Look around on some sites and see if something doesn't catch your eye. Then see if you can make it work. (You are never too old to try something new with your hair)

Any ideas on what to do with my hair, a new stylist cut it so short I can barely curl it with an iron.?

try a wig or a quick wig until your hair grows out long enough to get braids cuz braids make the hair grow faster.

Would a lady stylist cut a woman's hair really short if she asks for it?

do u think that lady stylists dont have the guts to cut a woman's hair extremely short if they ask for it?

Would a lady stylist cut a woman's hair really short if she asks for it?

If a girl asks for a short haircut, The stylist will do it...She's not going to tell the girl that she can't or won't cut her hair short...

Would a lady stylist cut a woman's hair really short if she asks for it?

She will probebly try and talk them out of it but they wont refuse to do it if thats what they have asked for

Would a lady stylist cut a woman's hair really short if she asks for it?

She wont refuse unless the woman wants to get bald.

Would a lady stylist cut a woman's hair really short if she asks for it?

i think it depends on the salon and/or stylist. I went to the salon a couple months ago and asked the girl to cut my hair and she actually refused and told me my hair was too nice to cut short so i had to go somewhere else and cut it

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut

Traditionally one does not tip the owner who is providing a service. Tip the shampoo person but not, in this case, the hair dresser.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

yes, she would appreciate it.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

800 dollars? what kind of dollars? thats an expensive haircut even by los angeles standards.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Yes...because you chose to pay that kind of money but you still need to tip. Sorry.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

if she did well then, yes. $800 for a haircut?!?

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

well atleast leave 20$ but dam that is one expensive hair cut or style

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

If you don't she will mess your hair up next time.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Yes.. You always tip your hair stylist.

Why would you pay $800 for a hair cut?

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

$800 you have got to be kidding!

I mean unless she is doing a TON of work

but I wouldn't tip

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

I think the questioner made a typo and means $80.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Depends what country you are from. Tipping is not standard in every country...

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Depends where you come from. We don't tip much in New Zealand. But if I was paying that kind of money for a haircut then yes I would tip if it is the done thing.

You'll get a better haircut next time

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

$800... We could probably end world hunger if it wasn't for stupid people like yourself wasting money on shite. Go to Head Start or some place similar and pay $20 for the same hair cut.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Only if you are John Edwards.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

She's already getting the $800 for the job she's done. What more does she want or expect. No need to tip.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Normally you wouldn't tip the owner. She is already getting paid out of the stores profit, and not relying on an hourly wage. But its nice to do if it was for a special occasion, like wedding or prom hair, or right before the holidays.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

I am worried that this is a concern of yours. $800 for a haircut!! Are you from the USA, don't you have tipping policies, like 10% of what you were billed. I am an aussie chick and I can not believe that somebody would pay that much for a haircut and be so woried about tipping. Hell if money is not an issue give her a neat $1000.00 and ask for a glass of champers.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

Look Paris, Those chicks in prison think they can get away with murder. Just tip the b*tch a carton of Camels and hope you don't run into her in the showers.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

I pay $8 to get my haircut.. wtf 800

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

For someone trying to show off how much they paid for a haircut, it seems unclassy that they are asking if they should tip a hairstylist.

Of course you should.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

I can not believe this, $800 for a hair cut and you are worried about spending another $80 dollars on the tip. Obviously money is not that much of an issue with you, why are you concerned about a tip when you should be worrying about the $800 dollars you just spent on a hair cut.

Why not go some where else for a hair cut at a salon that charges 10 percent of what you have just spent and the other $700 give to a women's shelter or to a fund for under privileged children.

Not only will you still get a wonderful haircut but you will be making the world a little better place to be. Not only are you helping families who can't afford the necessities but your money will be going to educating the next generation of adults. And I can't think of no better way of spending that kind of money on these things when money is not an issue.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

If someone is corrupt enough to pay 800. for a haircut, SURE why not!? What's another 50 bucks!? Why don't you take her out to lunch afterwards and fill her gas tank too.... maybe pay her utility bill for the shop while you're at it! Noooooo just give her a blank signed check and let her write in an amount!

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

What kind of haircut is that? Does she make a leaning tower of pisa out of your hair?

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

If you can afford an $800 hair style then you can afford to tip.

I just think that is a ridiculous waste of money. The only reason someone would charge that much is because there are dingbats who will pay it. Expensive is not always better.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

If you can afford $800 for a haircut, then yes give a 15% tip to, after all it's only an extra $120.

Do I tip the hair stylist if she is also the owner? After all, she is charging $800 for the hair cut.?

I don't tip the owner, but she hardly ever does my hair. I do tip the ones working for her because part of what they make goes to the owner. But if you want to tip, tip...if you don't, don't. If she has a problem with it or says something about it, find a new stylist.

There is a tramp that lives in South Kensington underground station...he is very handy with a knife.

I lived on the North side in Finchley. There's a salon there called Cut that does a pretty decent job. They give excellent head massages too.

Where is the best hair stylist in London I can閳ユ獩 seem to fined people that give me a proper hair cut?

Try Lucien Breidel. He works at the HeadMasters in Wimbledon village. He's a gem that hasn't been discovered yet. Try him before his prices go up. Good luck

Are you sure they are cutting it, if they ain't doing a proper hair cut then what are they doing! Stylist in London must be very careful not to ruin ones image.

Where is the best hair stylist in London I can閳ユ獩 seem to fined people that give me a proper hair cut?

Please go to Nina Beckert at Essensuals in Covent Garden. She is really good and really lovely. She won British Newcomer a few years back, and has done very well since then. I was her client for quite a few years, then moved away from London and have never found such a good hairdresser! I miss her skills :(

here is their number for you: 020 7240 4090

Good Luck!

Try Vidal Sasoon Academy at Convent Garden.

Where is the best hair stylist in London I can閳ユ獩 seem to fined people that give me a proper hair cut?

It's expensive but go to Gary at the Trevor Sorbie salon in Covent Garden. He is absolutely amazing. He really listens to what you want and checks with you that you're happy with what he is doing throughout the haircut. Totally worth the money.

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

I don't have very much hair, very fine, thin and short. It only takes about 45-mins to 1 hour to completely finish. Last time she charged $54.00 for everything including the shampooing.

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

at $54.00 I would tip 15-20%, for a total of about $9.00

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

15 percent

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

approximately 10% of your bill but ultimately the choice is up to you and how you feel about the result. if the result is decent or supurb you could give a tip that matches and the same goes if the result was bad...

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

The choice is really up to you depending on how well YOU feel like they did your hair. I had one lady who did awful but I still tipped like 5 dollars. I LOVE the lady I have now and she does GREAT so I tip her about 10 dollars. Somewhere around 10% I would say if he/she does a good job. Hope this helps!

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

personally, i didnt think that hair stylists got tips. ( :o) getting a hair cut is already overly expensive. $15~ for a simple trim? my mom can do that. for free

so, especially with womens hair, it is already expensive enough and a tip isnt needed.

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

Granted, as with most tip receiving jobs it is based on service. With going to a salon though it is tricky...you should tip at least 20% regardless because of the time alone that was spent doing your hair. Most salons charge the stylist booth rent and they have to buy their own products which they use on clients. It can be expensive at times especially if they are having a slow day or shitty tippers. On a $54.00 job such as you described I think that $20.00 would be good.

How much should you tip a hair stylist for a cut and highlight?

I would give 10 dollars..but that's just me.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

or is it just straight hair?

I have curly hair and I wanna cut it, I just want to know if they cut curly hair wet or if it has to be straighten first.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

Hair is cut wet because the water causes the hydrogen bond to break down and it can be almost straightened to cut it even. You also get more even tension on the hair. You will never get it even when dry whether it is curly or straight and your scissors will get dull very quickly.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

I dont' go to salons much but my mom says that it's easier to cut when wet. But my hair's straight and i cut it wet.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

yes, they do. i have curly hair and they ALWAYS spray it with water prior to cutting. this is because when it's wet its easier to equalise the length of the hair and style it.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

Being your hair is already curly by adding water will cause it to curl even more. You will be defeating your intentions, seek advice from a hair stylist.

Do stylist cut all types of hair when it is wet?

yeah you cut all hair wet. except if you are cutting the back of guys hair with clippers, but other then that all hair is usually cut wet. If you are scared to have your hair cut cause it is curly then just find a stylist who has curly hair. Most people who have it know how to cut it.

I had long hair, my stylist did a "new look" for me and cut it into a long shag. I HATE it

I need to know how to have my hair cut to get rid of this awful long shag hair cut. please help

I had long hair, my stylist did a "new look" for me and cut it into a long shag. I HATE it, what will fix this

Go to another hair stylist and have him/her cut the shag look off to even it out with the rest of your hair.

Then have the patience to wait for your hair to grow again the way you want it to, and be emphatic to the stylist that you don't want the "new look".

I had long hair, my stylist did a "new look" for me and cut it into a long shag. I HATE it, what will fix this

Get it cut medium with angles and layers trysome highlights to really add some spark. It will look really nice!

What is approprate to tip a hair stylist of a 15 dollar hair cut?

what you can afford.

if you had excellent service and love your hair and can replicate it at home then she/he deserves to know somehow wheather it is money or something else. bring her lunch, send more clients to her/him, go by the salon without an apointment just to tell her/him how much you love your hair.

i'm a hairstylist and the best tip i EVER RECEIVED was a big hug and a tear from a woman who had just left an abusive situation and had nothing. someone gave her the money for a haircut (child's teacher).

she now has a job a car a home and self esteem.

Can a hair cut make the hair frizzy?

I always had very straigh, baby fine hair but over the last few years and after 2 babies, my hair seems to have changed and is a bit thicker and with frizzy ends. I cut it every 6 weeks.

Wondering if the way my hair stylist cuts it could be making it frizzy. Could it?

Can a hair cut make the hair frizzy?

could be from the hormone changes from pregnancy. it could be caused from your stylist if she is using a razor on your hair because it "shatters" the ends of your hair, sometimes making it frizzy depending on the hair type.

Can a hair cut make the hair frizzy?

I guess it is possible, but usually, cutting your hair makes it less frizzy, because it takes off the dead ends, so maybe it is the type of products you are using, or just stress.

Can a hair cut make the hair frizzy?

Agree with other answers...could be product, could be baby. Could be the stylist is over texturizing. Maybe a blunt cut would help.

What to tell the stylist for boyfriends perfect hair cut?

My boyfriend has a prominent forehead and he looks best when he has long bangs that sweep over his eyes (seen it a couple times when he hadn't gotten a hair cut in months-hot). We both agree that the rest of his hair needs to be shorter though, because his hair starts to get curly and makes weird loopyadeedoos or begins to look like he has a mullet (ewwww). The problem is whenever he goes to a stylist and asks them to keep the bangs longer and the back short they look at him strange and then cut the bangs short anyway. It's almost like they think all the hair needs to be the same length, or they have to stick to a certain hair style and can't deviate. I would describe the look I want him to have as emo, but stylist just can't get it right. Is there a term for this kind of hair style, (long swooping mysteriously handsome bangs, with shorter hair)? What EXACTLY should we say to the hairstylists so that they cut his hair the right way?

What to tell the stylist for boyfriends perfect hair cut?

i would change hairdressers if i were you. my bf has a similar style and he never has any problems getting it cut to the style he wants. if he wants to keep the same hairdresser he could try going for a re-style, something not too long but still with longer bangs. something like this http://www.hairstyles.org.uk/hairstyles-...

hope this helps : )

I wanted to know which is the best salon or hair stylist to go to for a hair cut in the D.C area ?

RIdiculously straight and fine hair not to mention I'm losing handfuls from washing it with hard water.

I wanted to know which is the best salon or hair stylist to go to for a hair cut in the D.C area ?

I used to go to a lovely salon very near the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and 2nd St., SE. (Near the Capitol South Metro station, on the south side of the street, next to the burrito place).

There are two in the area, but the better one (and less expensive) is on the street level. Seems like I used to get shampoo, cut, blow dry for between thirty and forty bucks three years ago.

I wanted to know which is the best salon or hair stylist to go to for a hair cut in the D.C area ?

Try looking online and see what salons carry top of the line products. Matrix, Bed Head, Paul Mitchell, Redken, etc. Then make an appointment for a consultation. Ask if they charge. It doesn't mean they are any better if they charge. Also, ask for a stylist who is good with your type of hair. Most are good with any type, but sometimes if they have the same type of hair and you like their hair, chances are they will do good on your hair. See if you like the person and if not then keep looking. Do this well before you need a cut. It may take you awhile to find someone.

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. W

I was only at the salon for color (not cut) - my colorist talked me into dying back to natural brunette from J. Anniston type highlights to help my hair look shinier and repair from color stress, then recommended someone who had never cut my hair to cut/style it so it would look healthier. Now its split everywhere - most damaged look of my life!!! The shred starts so high up it will take at least 2 years to grow out?!! P.S. What style is this?!! What long haired girl would want this done to her hair?!! I can't stop thinking about it even to sleep :( What can I do?!!

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

I would go back there and find out.

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

i think it may be the "razored" look. ehh, maybe straighten it, or get some smoothing serum. good luck. %26lt;33

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

cut it really short

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

I say its time to repair your hair. Go back to the salon and buy Biolage Conditioning Balm Works wonders for split ends and also Biolage cerum. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

maybe she used a bad sissor.

or you know what this happend

to me.

since you cut your hair

the ends are all woopty doo since

their so fresh

so eventually they will calm down

an go down

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

You know , you can or better yet should go back and complain or at least ask them what can they do to make it look good. Also it may be only the lighter color stickin out meaning they didnt cover the highlights right. But if you see and know for sure they are split ends no matter what they say your hair is fried maybe with the dark color they put on it and need emergency once a week deep conditioning and definitelly no more permanent color for a while. Make them use semi-permanent in case you need more covering. Good luck and let us know what happen.

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

this same thig happened to me! its like she cut layers but thin and all over so you cant see them but your whole head is ends. You may have to do what i did and wait it out.

ps. its been a good 2 ys and i still waiting.

Stylist cut into my long hair so it looks like there are split ends everywhere crown down to ends. Why? Help!?

I've noticed this. It's kind of a 'mullet look' that's in fashion and I could never understand how u were sposed to manage hair in this condition!

The best stuff for my hair i've found is chemical free ie. look for stuff without the chemicals listed at www.mypure.com.au I use the shampoo and cond at www.ppcherbs.com - all aust stuff but u should be able to find similar at a health food store...

It leaves it really soft, friz free and manageable!

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

cut it while in a pony tail to give to Locks of Love. Has anyone here ever done that? I didn't have it cut for them but glad that it would be reused for such a wonderful cause. (they make wigs for kids with cancer.)

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

I had 2 feet off my hair(My hair was really long) cut off and sent it their. My friends cousin had cancer and had to use the wigs. MY friends liked my hair long, I was kind of freaked out. MY mom put my hair in a ponytail and just snip. I opened my eyes, I loved it! Especially since I helped to make a wig for children with cancer.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

Yup, I've donated twice =) Congrats on your haircut!

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

MY MOM HAS

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

I just did that myself. My hair was down to my waist and I had it cut to an inch all around. They were able to donate alot of hair from me lol.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

My daughter is planning to do that when she decides to get her hair cut. It is currently down to her rear. Locks of Love is a great program.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

my friend did, and it was so cool bc she actually got to meet the girl who got my friend's hair. that would kinda creep me out, but SHE thought it was great!!

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

I've never done it but I think it's a great idea. Congratulations!!

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

Good for you. They are a great organization. Tell everyone you know.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

i have never but i would like to!

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

Yes...and thank you for getting the word out...it is for a very worthy cause and can make a real difference to someone who has lost their hair due to illness. It is wonderful to recycle something you no longer need...to someone in need.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

My daughter had all her hair cut and donated to Locks of Love. This is a wonderful thing to do and is very helpful to patients who have lost their hair due to disease. I think what you did will pay off for somebody. Although you don't see the blessings you bestowed onto another, they are there and don't go unnoticed.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

my friend cut off 18 inches for locks of love. She is now growing it out to have awig made for her mother-in-law who has cancer. her dying wish is to have a blonde wig. I applaud people like you. It shows we do have caring people in the world.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

Yes, I think that is a wonderful cause, and I congratulate you for donating your hair to Locks of Love. I have long hair, but I've never donated mine because they only use virgin hair; that is, hair that is not chemically treated with perms or hair coloring. Since I have some gray in my hair, I do use colors. Besides, what little girls would want a wig with gray in it? I think donating your hair is something you will always be proud of.

I just had my hair cut. Because I cut off almost a foot the hair stylist...?

The salon where I work has done this many times. It is a really great organization!

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

one of my friends said she told the lady to cut like 2/3 inches off and instead she cut like 6/7 inches off...i asked my friend why she didnt notice when it was being cut, and she "wasnt paying attention" so id say it was both the stylists and my friends fault...and then i have a guy friend who got his hair muffed up! his hairline was all nicked and patchy and uneven so he had to go bald for a lil while...so tell me some of your horror storys, and also, please tell me where it happened at

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

Yeah...i have. I showed a picture of the haircut i wanted, and everything was wrong about it. way too short, and the fringe/bangs weren't even right. it's kind of hard to tell when they're cutting your hair, especially if they comb your bangs in front of your eyes...

although i needed that much cut off since my hair was so damaged from dye and bleach

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

yep. but then again I shave my own head!

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

i had hair to by butt, i am mixed blk/wht...so having long hair is a blessing, i went to get a trim, she said she does ethnic hair, the other stylist told me my stylist was a perfectionist, so plan on being in the hair for a while. After three hours, yes,,,i know, and continuing ..."are you done yet question, from me"...with the "Just a bit more answer from her"i had shoulder lenght hair, her reason was she could't get the ends to line up, plus she used hair spray to straighten my hair, didn't work because she sprayed the curly hair curly...I went home and cried my eyes out...later i heard she was fired for bleaching a girls hair so strong, that all the front hair fell out, when the girl was at home sleeping, but they paid for me to have it redone...and for sure i picked the highest charging salon i could find...

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

i recently got a bad haircut, the stylist basically cut off all my hair at the back, layering it way more than i asked for (and it was only 2 months b4 a formal event!)

luckily my hair is a fast grower, and it looks fine now :)

Have you ever gotten a hair cut and the stylist messed it up?

yEs... i said that cut it Lyk the "shaggy" but instead she cut it as "Layers''. I'm so dissapointed because i thought she was a great hair stylist. Now, my hair is not so beautiful as it was in the past. I felt so insecure because me and my friend has the same type of hair and we have the same straight, long and shiny hair. The haircut is good but it is not my type. But that's okay because no one is perfect and we must admit our mistakes. I will just let my hair grow long. :)

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

Just wondering what's typical.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

20% is $5.

10% is 2.50.

It really depends if you really like it or you just like it. If the stylist did exactly what you wanted, tip 20%. If they did what they wanted without listening to you, tip 10% or less.

Most people however, do tip 20% regardless. I personally, only tip well if I really like it and she listened to me as to what I wanted done. Also, if she talks to me and is focused on me, not talking to another employee or constantly stopping to answer the phone or to help someone at the counter. That's not very personable.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$2 or $3

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

At my salon 5$ is typ.

And $2-5 for the shampoo techs

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$5, unless he/she is the owner...and then they do not get a tip.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

if its a worker 10 per cent is good if its the owner nothing.....

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$5 (20%) if I really like it

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

Is it a good haircut or a lousy one? $5-$10.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

Not much. I have never tipped a hair dresser ever before. They're making $25 already, why do they need anymore?

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$5.00

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

5 bucks, round it up to 30

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$5

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

i wuold say $5.00 bucks they did a thirty dollars hair cut any way.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I always give $5

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I tip $5 but we don't have shampoo techs.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

10% is the normal tip rate but more if you are satisfied with the job..

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

Depends on how good the cut is, and how courteous and friendly the hair stylist was. I generally tip 5-7 for a good cut and 0-2 for bad service.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I've heard from other people that its usually around 15%, so about $3 - $4 should be sufficient.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

Did she also wash your hair?

I would give her $5.00. I tip 20% (which would be @ $4.00), I just round it up.

My stylist charges $30.00 for a wash and cut. I give her $6.00. She is a single mom raising 3 kids. I can afford to be "generous" most times. She does a very good job!

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

It totally depends who does it and how well they do it.

But for $25 you can tip $3 or $4, that閳ユ獨 15 - 20%.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

20% of the total price, so for a $25 hair cut you would tip $5.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I've been in the restaurant %26amp; bar service industry I would tip 20% ($5.) if they did a good job if not nothing. For a salon. Now if it is a restaurant I tip 20 to 35 % if it is good serivce $2. or $3. for poor serivce [only because alot of places like Denny's IHOP, Waffle House %26amp; a few others only get paid $2.13 per hr and they get taxed on their sales not the amount they make in tips, which sucks some times] and nothing for horrible service I mean realy realy horible serivce. Were you would have to talk to a manager or call the company. at a bar I tip $5 for a mixed drink and $2 for a bottle drink. I know this is more than what you asked for but I thought I would add my 2 cents in. Oh buy the way some places tax the servers on thier togo sales to no mater if they get a tip on it. Which you could have like you could have $800 in sales which is $80 you are tasxed on but only make $40. Now that really sucks. been there a couple of timesbecause of huge stupid to go orders and people that have money and don't tip. ok sorry so long been a bad couple of weeks ya'll have a great day

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

10 bucks if it is good, if not den non. I do mine myself, so if i dont like it, it is on me.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I don't mind giving more.....if.....he/she did a great job......if not......well, sorry!

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

$5, which is 20%. You tip between 10-20% like at a restaurant. It's a little less sometimes, because waiters make less hourly and don't get a cut of the sales.

How much do you tip a hair stylist after a $25 hair cut?

I usually tip $5, sometimes $10 if they do a fantastic job

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

You are using the wrong stylist!!! Find a stylist that knows what they are doing!! I have many clients with beautiful curly hair. Razor cutting is key to curly hair and before sitting in the chair there should always be a consultation so you both understand what you are looking for.

Good luck!

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

Because it's curly and tends to go in various directions. A highly skilled stylist can cut any type of hair. Shop around and be willing to pay for a quality cut.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

Because it springs back up, to be on the safe side my stylists cuts my hair when it is blown out and straight, u have the chance of having very uneven hair if you cut it curly.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

That's what I'm saying. I have curly hair and have only found one person who can cut it well. She has curly hair. That's the key, find a hairdresser with curly hair, she will know how to deal with it better. Other hairdressers usually don't take into consideration that when your hair is wet it is longer, but when it dries the curls make it appear a lot shorter. So they usually cut more off than they should.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

Because it knots more easily and it is hard to cut through split ends and knots

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

because all the curls are differnt lengths and they have to get them steaight

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

Because of the styling. When you dry it curly it shrinks up. So it needs to be cut longer than most people would assume. I have extremely curly hair and have found that having it in layers gives it style when its curly as well as when I straighten it.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

no clue

i have a friend who has super curly hair

she went somewhere and asked for layers

and the stylist said she couldnt do it!

how mean

my friend gets her mom to cut it

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

you just have to find a stylist that is good with curly hair. Not every hairdresser is good at everything.Try to find someone with the same problems as you and ask them where they go.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

because it's 2 curly %26amp; it'll keep srinking up an they can't cut it.

Why is it so hard for hair stylist to cut curly hair?

Because most of them can't even cut straight hair even or the proper way. I have straight hair and it's trashed because of hair stylist. I'm so done with salons. You don't use a razor on curly hair either, well, if you want frizzy hair then you do. Good luck.
