She only cutted a little bit of my hair and called it a bang. I told her to cut more bangs. She got upset. She said, she is a hair stylist. She knows what she is doing. She thinks what I want is too much going on (it is not a style). I said, it is okay. I like it like that. She cutted more bangs, but she was upset the whole times. Until I convinced her that I love the haircut. She finally calmed down. lol :)

Hair stylist can be very temperamental and stubborn! I recommend you change salons! You are the customer and it's your hair - she shouldn't tell you how you should have it!
Next time you get your hair done it's important to explain the style you want with your hands as apposed to just telling the stylist what you want. Show him/her the exact length, how much etc.
Just remember you owe it to yourself to be honest to your stylist.

That is really dumb. She should have done what you wanted. Usually they give advice if they know it will look dumb or not. However, they are supposed to satisfy what the customer wants.

You should find a new hair stylist, first of all. Second of all, it's your hair and you are paying for her to cut it. It's not rude to be clear about what you want. You don't have to be mean or anything, but if you tell her what you want and she does it her own way anyway, explain why you don't like it, and if she won't fix it, don't tip her and don't go to her again.

Wow, yea you can totally tell her what you want. My stylist usually give me advice, but overall it is completely up to me. YOu might wanna switch, or now that she knows you love that haircut, she wont argue anymore.

ok first off we stylist do what the client says. but sometimes we try to tell them what actually fits their face. Maybe she was trying to help. But the customer is always right anyways. so yeah.

I know a lot of stylists that think they know everything, and that most people dont really know what looks good, but your haircut is very important that you get what you want since it is very visible.
She was probably not wanting to work very hard on it.
I totaly have a lot of respect for cosmotologists, I work in a store that sells to them and I can tell you there are lots of great ones that honestly care about what the client wants.....when and if you get your hair done again I would go somewhere else. Also if you can get a picture from a magazine or something and take it to them, that might make it easier for them.

She may have went to school to learn how to cut hair, but she obviously skipped out on the 'what your client wants is what your client should get' part.
You are the boss of your hair, you are going to be the one walking around with some mess if you don't speak up, not her. You should have stopped her halfway through her temper tantrum and requested another stylist.
You have every right to tell a stylist if she is cutting your hair right or wrong. You are paying the money to get something done right.
Now maybe she figured based on your face shape and what not, that maybe what you wanted wouldn't have worked, but she should have told you what she though BEFORE she started cutting.
She doesn't sound like a very professional person.

I always tell my hair stylist what hairstyle i want, and at any point while shes cutting my hair and shes not doing what i want, i stop her and correct her. Some of them insist on what they want, you just have to be firm.

no you cant the stylist is only capable of cutting your hair the way they were thought . go find an older woman that will cut it and pay her you will get a cut from someone that can use the money and will take pride in her craft
